As a landlord, you are required under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 to make sure that all appliances that use gas in the household are safe.
These include but are not limited to:
- Gas appliances
- Fittings
- Chimneys and flues
- Boilers
To ensure that your tenants’ are safe, you must undergo a gas safety check annually and you will need to supply records of these checks to your tenants should they ask for them.
